Custom domain registration

  Hi. I was wanting to take advantage of your offer to register a domain name for $18., then was advised on-screen that my desired domain was already taken (registered). I did a search for it and came up with nothing. Is it, in fact, taken by another user? To my knowledge I have not already registered it. I’d really like to use this, so would appreciate any confirmation you could give me as to its availability. Thanks.

  Were you trying to register your-name.wordpress.com or your-name.com?

  You can also do a whois: http://www.whois.com/whois/ to search on a name
