Custom domain. What will happen with search traffic?

  I have wordpress.com blog. I wan’t to buy custom domain from wordpress.com. And I have 2 questions:

  1) What will happen with search and referral traffic? Will it be automatically redirected to the new domain, to the same page or post?
  2) What will happen if person will enter in the browser my old domain? My 123567.wordpress.com. Will he be redirected to new domain?

  Hey there! Yes, WordPress redirects traffic going to your old WordPress.com blog address to your new custom domain. Things like search traffic and people with links won’t see an impact.
