Custom domain with Basic plan

  My client asked me to help with her website. I’m trying to determine if she is using her custom domain with the free Basic plan? Can custom domains be used with the free Basic plan?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  The only upgrades which this account has is the domain name with privacy. Beyond that, the account is our basic one with no further upgrades.

  I think you answered my question: Can a custom domain name be used with the free Basic plan? I’m pretty sure now that the answer is yes. I asked the question because there is only a small mention of WordPress in the footer, and I couldn’t find the info anywhere on the WP Support Site. This post should now be considered resolved.

  Yes, you can purchase a custom domain for your WordPress.com site without needing to purchase any other upgrades. The Premium bundle is our way of combining many of our upgrades into a single purchase that is significantly cheaper than purchasing each upgrade individually. However, for many people, one or two upgrades is all they need, and that’s fine too.
