  Do I have to pay a monthly membership to add my custom domaine?

  Hi there, using your custom domain on WordPress.com does require a paid plan, but those are billed annually or every two years, not monthly. You can learn about incoming domain transfers or mapping here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/incoming-domain-transfer/
