Custom email for site managed through Blogger
-
I need to set up a custom email address (forward) for my domain that is registered with WordPress but is used through Blogger. If there is a cleaner option to transfer everything that is also fine.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
We have recently updated our DNS system so that you can manage all of this on your own quite easily. In order to make your domain work correctly with this DNS system, we will need to make sure that the new DNS system has all of the information that you want your domain name to have.
If you log in to your account at:
http://styledbysashadotcom.wordpress.com/wp-admin
And then go to Store >> My Domains >> Edit Domain >> Edit DNS, you can see all of the DNS settings which will go live once this change is made. If those settings all look OK, you can then just click on the Name Servers tab and set the nameservers to “Use WordPress.com name servers” and click Save. This will allow these DNS settings to go live and you will have full control of your DNS in this control panel (and the email forwarder which you set up will work as well!).
Let me know if you have any questions!

Hey,
Thanks so much for the reply. When I try to set up the domain email it comes up with the following message: “Your nameservers need to be set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM and NS2.WORDPRESS.COM for these DNS records to work. If you have already updated the nameservers you can ignore this message; it will stop appearing soon.”
I’m hesitant to change my name servers for fear that it will do something to the website (that I use via Blogger) – will it change anything on my website if I use the WordPress name servers? Will I still have full access to change coding/posting etc though Blogger?
Thankyou again!

The interface that you have access to right now is ready to point your domain to blogger correctly and everything. I’d love it if you would verify it yourself (we’re big fans of our users checking things out for themselves). I found this Google help article which explains how to point a domain towards blogger:
https://support.google.com/blogger/troubleshooter/1233381?hl=en
You should be able to add the mail settings that you want despite the warnings about your nameservers needing to be set to NS1.WORDPRESS.COM, etc. It’s just a warning stating that none of those changes will go live until you make that change.
When you do change your nameservers, all of the DNS in that interface will go live, and assuming everything is correct (which I think it is), you won’t notice even a moment of downtime for your site. It will be seamless.
