Custom entry layouts?

  Hi,

  I’m thinking about building a site with WordPress, in theory it’s very simple, it will have two sections/categories that the user will be able to switch between, and both are image galleries.

  Each image in the gallery should be an entry/post containing the image, a title and a description only a couple sentences long. I’ve used Expression Engine a couple of times, and it’s quite easy to customise the layout of an entry/post, but I’m not sure how I go about doing that in WordPress? What I want to ultimately happen is for WordPress to output each entry wrapped in

• tags.

  Also, I want to make it simple to add new posts/entries, with a field each for the title, description and image to be uploaded – is any of this possible?
