Custom Font not showing up correctly

  • Unknown's avatar

    I paid for the customized option to change fonts (I have Railway selected at the moment for blog titles) and change the CSS, but I never see the correct font (railway) showing up as the blog title post, it always subs a serif font instead. I’m not sure why!

    My blog is jessandtonic.com

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hi there!

    I actually am seeing Raleway as your blog titles font. Here’s a view of your site in my browser:

    Could you try clearing your cache, refreshing your site in your browser, and then taking another look?

    If that doesn’t fix the issue, try out your site in Firefox or Safari and let me know how it’s looking there. If your site looks fine in the other browsers, we can look further into why you’re not seeing the correct font in Chrome.

    Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

    Hi! Thank you for replying!

    Hm…that is so strange. I tried clearing my cache/refreshing and I tried it in Chrome/Firefox and Safari but I just continue to see this:

    the same serif font and no Railway font as the title. :( I’m not sure why it’s still doing this but it is frustrating!

    Jess, The more I’ve tested your site and font, I’ve come to believe that your theme might contain code that is conflicting with your Typekit fonts. I’ve opened up a ticket with our developers to have them look into the issue further. I will let you know as soon as we have a solution for you. In the meantime, I really appreciate your patience and I’m sorry for the convenience. I’ll be in touch as soon as I hear anything — please let me know if you have questions. Thanks!

    Howdy Jess!

    I’ve taken a look, and noticed some Custom CSS was causing a conflict:

    .wf-active .entry-title, .wf-active .entry-title a {
    	font-size: 30px;
    	font-style: normal;
    	font-family: Raleway, thin;
    }

    Removing this from your Custom CSS panel shows the fonts on your site for me. You don’t need to define the new font in Custom CSS — the Custom Fonts panel will do that automatically. :)

    Let me know if you have any further problems!

    Cheers,
    Caroline
