I have been trying to add a custom form to the invite section of my blog. When I publish page it just publishes a wordpress page asking if I want to have a new blog, can anyone help?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Inviting users to you blog might not mean what you think it does:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=inviteI wonder because your blog is not private, nor do I think you are hoping to attract authors or editors to contribute to your blog.
Are you trying to invite readers to your site? Perhaps also collecting their contact information? or trying to invite subscribers?

Thanks it is meant to be a form they have to fill in to invite me to their event, so they can email me via the form

It is still not working. When I look at preview and update page it looks perfect but when I go in to blog and press invite to bring up form there is just a wordpress advert for new blogs, how did that get into my page?

The reason a contact form short code is provided [contact-form] (type it – do not copy and paste) is so we do no have to post an email address in the form you have posted one. That structure you have used guarantees email address harvesting spam bots will harvest it and spam you.

As far as what you are seeing that’s a strong indication your browser is displaying cached data. Which browser and version of it are you sing please?
Have you tried any troubleshooting?- You could have a browser issue so try changing your browser settings, refreshing the page, or clearing the browser cache and cookies – instructions for specific browsers.
- Note that when you make adjustments to your browser settings — changing privacy settings, deleting cookies or increasing security — you will need to close your window and restart the browser before those new settings become effective.
- You could try upgrading your browser. http://browsehappy.com
- You could try using another browser.

when I am clicking on my invite page it automatically goes to link below even though it didn’t go to this when I did preview?

I did comprehend what you said previously. :)
(1) Which browser and version of it are you using please?
If you do not know please go here to find out. http://www.whatsmybrowser.com/(2) Then please follow the instructions I posted above and log out to wordpress.com and force cleared your browser cache and cookies?

No, her contact form is not appearing.
I don’t think it’s an issue with her browser.@precious2him
You are opening your “contact” page for your form?
is there anything else on the page?
You insert the form as described?
so you see something like this:
[contact-form] [contact-field label="Name" type="name" required="true" /] [contact-field label="Email" type="email" required="true" /] [contact-field label="Website" type="url" /] [contact-field label="Comment" type="textarea" required="true" /] [/contact-form]
then you save the page? -
-
Did you also note what Tess said above? The invitation form is NOT for what you state above. Stop clicking that link please. :)
You need to post a contact form on a page.
1. Create page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/
2. Then type in contact form short code. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
3. Click “publish”. -
The problem appears to be with the link itself in the header.
Are you using a Custom Menu? The link called Invite does not to a static page called Invite. Create a static page called that, and use the link to the page you’ve created in your header. Then put the contact form in the page.
