  Presentation > Widgets

  You can put them on your sidebar if you’d like

  You can also change the order of widgets by dragging them into the order you wish in presentation > widgets, and you can also add or remove them too. Make sure and click the “save changes” button after you are done.

  Do note, that if you have not added any widgets since you started your blog, that once you add one, the default sample set that shows in your blog will disappear and you will have to drag the widgets you wish to use up from the “available widget” pane to the “sidebar” pane.

  It would also help if you gave us a link to your wordpress.com blog so we can see what theme you are using.
