Custom header image not resizing on larger screens
-
I have the eighties theme with a custom header image. All looks fine on laptop screens, but when viewed on larger desktop screens the header image gets larger and cropped so top and bottom of header image is no longer visible.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @krussell1980,
As Eighties is designed for a large custom header, which is used as a background image, edges of the image may indeed get cropped on smaller screen sizes. Custom headers that work best in this type of theme are more flexible, decorative or abstract, so they can handle this sort of cropping.
If it’s important for the entire image in your custom header to be displayed across all devices, with no cropping, you may wish to consider a theme that supports the site logo feature. The site logo feature is meant for images like yours, that include important text or can’t tolerate cropping. You can filter for themes that support logos here:

Snaps, Ecto, and Baskerville are a few that I think you might like, based on Eighties design.
Let me know if that information helps out or if you have any extra questions. :)

Hi thanks for the reply. The custom header image I placed in the template has my logo in it so it’s very important that it doesn’t get cropped on larger screens. I’ll have a look at other themes instead. Thanks for the help.
