Custom header image not showing up

I have uploaded a custom image for my header. On the customize screen, the image that I have uploaded shows up on the left side menu as the currently selected image, but on the preview screen it is still the stock image. Even after I save it and go to look at my site, it’s still the stock image. Is there something wrong with the image I’m trying to use? It’s a photo that I took myself.
