custom header issues

  im using the blogum theme and ive made a custom header and uploaded it. the custom header shows up on the blog, but so does the old header that came with the theme. there is no option under appearance > header to remove the text header and tagline! can anyone help?? thanks

  Some themes have that option and some don’t – see here:

  As a rule, the option is present when the blog title is inside the header image, not when its above it.

  You can hide the blog title in Blogum if you have the paid Custom Design upgrade.
  (You can also hide it using code in a text widget, but this will leave too much empty space above the header image.)
