Custom Header Not Working

  • Unknown's avatar

I have tried to upload a custom header to my blog, but it does not work. In the section of “Custom Header”, where the place says “Choose File”, is highlighted grey and there is a crop tool straight over it. I believe this is some sort of bug, and when I go to click on “Choose File”, the crop tool just moves.

Here is a picture of my problem:

    Please help!

    Thanks!

I run an Apple Mac iBok G4. I usually use the Safari internet program.

This is the one case here in these forums where we recommend using something beside Safari. It doesn’t support javascript fully and you’re seeing this.

Just for reference, normally we don’t suggest using different browsers. I hate browser wars but in this case, this has been well documented. There’s even a FAQ on the subject if you want to check out the FAQ blog linked at the top of the forums or even search the forums.

    Okay, I’ll try using Firefox…

Not a problem. Hope it works better.

Thanks drmike! It works A-OK using Firefox! Say, is Safari browser support a possible feature in the near future?

That doesn’t answer teh question I’m afraid. The issue is on Safari’s end and their lack of support for AJAX, a form of javascript. The Safari developers are supposed to be working on it as of Apple webkit version 420.

You can see it listed in Ryan’s announcement here. (Ryan’s one of the wp developers.)

I’ve searched for something on apple’s end but can’t find anything right off. I believe you have to have os 10.5 maybe to have the upgraded webkit though on your end. 3 of my 4 macs are xserves so I don’t do websurfing on them so i can’t check for you I’m afraid.

Glad you got it working though,
