Custom Header width and hight

  Hi,
  1 ) I am using the theme Nuntius. And its a nice theme except the annoying long and wide header. When one opens up the blog, the full screen is taken up by the header with absolutly no view to the blog post. I would like to reduce the height of the header. How can I do this?
  2 )Also for the custom header where the name of my blog is written, I would like to increase the width.
  3) How can I have a scroll of featured image on my blog home page?
