Custom Headers
-
Hi,
I’ve been blogging for a year and take the layout and content of the blog very seriously. The other night, I uploaded a scenic photo of countryside in London, UK. I uploaded it as a custom header and it seemed to work, but when I brought up the blog on a different computer the following morning, the header wouldn’t show. Viewing the blog on a third computer confirmed this. The original Misty theme had disappeared as well and it took some time before I could go back to the original settings.
Any ideas how I can set the photo as a header?
Thanks,

The best practice for uploading a custom header successfully is to optimize the image and re-size to the specific size required prior to uploading it into the blog. For MistyLook Images of exactly 760 x 190 pixels will be used as-is.

If you do not have a desktop app for doing this you can do it online free of charge here’s a post that contains links to such online services http://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/2009/11/28/ten-free-online-image-compression-and-optimzation-programs/

Thanks for the advice, timethief. I’m pretty much new to the digit photograph side of things.
