  Hello,

  I would like to know if it is possible to get a opening page to my website. Something where the types in my site and before the see my blog they see a copy of my logo, a link to the store, and also a link to my blog?

  What I’m trying to do is make a home page WITHOUT a space for comments (blog). I’ve followed vivianpaige’s advice, but I still get a page with the comments box in it. How do I create a truly static page (one without any invitation to blog — I’d use the posts page for that). Drakrub seems to have done it.

  When you’re editing the page, look near the bottom of the page for “Comments & Pings”. Click on the triangle at the left to open it up, and uncheck the Allow Comments option.

  Oh, and don’t forget to save the page afterward. :-)
