custom home pages

  I read on the wordpress.com features page, that you can have your own custom home page. I was curious if that is for paying members only? If not, then how could I get my own custom home page? thanks

  Hi there, you can have premade themes without paying. Have a look in your blog’s dashboard under design -> themes. You’ll see there are quite a few.

  If none of these are to your liking you can buy the CSS upgrade, more here: http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/10/18/about-the-custom-css-upgrade/

  However, the CSS updgrade or any of the others are NOT required to have a blog here, essentially the main features are free.

  Another option is to have a static page as your home page. Take a look at the FAQ http://faq.wordpress.com/2007/02/20/having-a-static-page-at-the-front-of-the-blog/
