Custom html block, shortcode and javascript not working

  Hi, I have been trying for months to get my custom HTML block on Gutenberg to work on my WordPress website. Each time I paste a code into it, it turn out blank, nothing comes out. I have tried pasting in my affiliate HTML from Amazon but it wouldn’t show any thing. Can you help to diagnose what the problem is. Thanks.

  You don’t share a website address, but if you are having this problem with a WordPress.com site, it’s possible that some of the code in the embed is not permitted.

  You can learn more at this link:
  https://wordpress.com/support/code/

  Upgrading your site to the WordPress.com Business plan removes all restrictions on code, so that is one remedy.
