Custom image header?
-
I have tried changing my image header a few times, and when I click Crop Image, it says my custom image should be activated, but its not. Its an image of Melody Thornton, and it says “Melody Thornton.. coming soon.”
Please help me get the custom image header to work!

Which browser and version of it are your using please?
Have you done this?
The Cookie Dance
step 1. log out
step 2. clear your browser cookie
step 3. clear your browser cache/temporary internet files
step 4. close your browser
step 5. go back and test -
But I do see it on Konqueror on the same computer.
So it might just be Firefox acting strange for me :-)

Not so weird. Firefox is flaky at times, especially if it’s been open for a while. And I forgot to close it before I went to bed last night. And now I’m in the middle of stuff and don’t want to bother restarting it.
Or it could just be Linux being flaky again. My wireless drops out every time I visit a wp.com blog. I have no idea why, but it was so annoying I had to go buy another network cable.

You might also want to try updating to Firefox 2. Well worth the new features, IMO. And I believe if they haven’t already, they’ll stop releasing security updates fairly soon.

i am downloading Firefox 2 at the moment =)
I will see if it works after I open it there =D

Wild Speculation: It might depend on server load and which servers scattered around each of us is getting served by. In other words, the file may not have been sync’d to all the servers yet. Could also be an internet network issue as well. We’ve seen that with images before.

Aahh I installed a new Firefox, deleted all my cookies and tried again..
.. and I still can only see black =/

OH no! That sucks. I have no idea where to go from here. You will have to wait until a “techy’ type comes along and takes a stab at solving this with you.

Stranger and stranger. To sum it up…
I can see it from FF2 and IE7 on my Windows XP box.
I can’t see it from FF2 or IE7 on my Vista box.
I can’t see it from FF2 but I can from Konqueor on my Fedora 7 box.I’d assume coming from the same network, I’d be hitting the same servers from all three computers. But heck, what do I know :-)

I just asked a friend to check as well. He can’t see the header in FF2 on XP. He’s in Argentina.
FWIW, I’m in S. Korea.
