Custom Image Header
-
I m new in using wordpress and now I m having problem regarding the Custom Imager Header, hope someone can help me on this issue.
I tried to upload my own header alot of times and since the requirement is “Images of exactly 904 x 160 pixels will be used as-is” so I tried to reduce my height to the requirement but everytime I went to next step with was crop the header.. the square only show the centre part and I need to crop off the upper and below.. Can someone advise me how come when my image is below the standard requirement, I still cant upload the full picture? Thanks in advance

if you re sized the image with a photo editor after uploading it to your site
then you need to rename the photo so the server recognizes it has a new image.Example
photo.jpg
Renamed
photo2.jpgTeck

I tried to rename is but still cannot. Its starting to piss me off now.. what is the point of showing the required size and when I adjusted to the size and I still have to cut off the upper and bottom part.. making my image looks so ugly :(

My suggestion is to always crop the image to the exact size in an image editing program before uploading it. The image upload cropping thing can be problematic.

So, can you share with us what you did to fix the problem? I’m having the same problem.

I’m a newbie, and I used the Blix theme for my Blabbergirl blog. Then I added pages of content, with titles. Now the navigation bar is obscured by the article titles for each page. Also, when you go to one of the article pages, it’s title goes up into the header. I did a workaround of removing the title, and putting a title in on the top of articles in caps. But still it’s weird. Can anybody help me? Thanks! ((email visible only to moderators and staff))

First, you need to correct the URL for your blog attached to your username. There is no “@” symbol in a URL. It’s http://blabbergirl.wordpress.com .
I think you need to read this FAQ which explains the difference between posts and pages: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/11/a-post-and-a-page/
You are using pages instead of posts, and that will in a very short time become completely unmanageable. Also, page titles typically should be kept short, otherwise you end up with the mess you are seeing in your top navigation.
