Custom Link Color

    I just changed to the Sela theme. I have the custom color upgrade, but this theme is very limiting with color options. I am using the color in the menu bar to set the accent color of the theme, but the links in the post area as the sidebar change to the same color.

    I need the link color to be more noticeable; more contrasting from the text color. How do I change the link colors without changing the header menu color? I also have the custom css upgrade.

    Also, can I add a underline to the links to help them be more noticeable?

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • This style only changes the link colors in the posts:

    div.entry-content a {
        color: red;
        text-decoration: underline;
    }

    This style can be used to change the links style on hover:

    div.entry-content a:hover {
        color: green;
        text-decoration: none;
    }

    Please feel free to change the colors and add other styles as you wish :-)

    what about link styles in the sidebar and the footers?

    Thanks for your help…

    Jeff

  • Sure :-)

    These are the selectors for the links in the footer and sidebar widget areas:
    , .footer-widget-area a, .sidebar-widget-area a

    selectors for hover.

    , .footer-widget-area a:hover, .sidebar-widget-area a:hover

    I already added commas so copy these selectors as is and paste them adjacent to the current styles, unless you want to style these differently.
