  Hi – newbie here.

  IS there a way to make a custom link in my menu open in a new window or tab?

  I believe Sandy was wondering about the menu links and not links within posts and pages.

  Sandy — I don’t think this is an option at the moment.

  Sandy, yes there is. If you go to Appearance > Menu and in the Screen Options tab at top right, check “Link Target” and then click on a menu item to open it and below the Navigation Label field will be a check box to open the menu in a new window/tab. Make sure and save your menu after making those changes.

  You are welcome. I did notice that it isn’t mentioned in the support documentation. I’ll be fixing that in the very near future. :)
