Custom links Drop Down not working on tablet

    I launched my new site last week using the GAZETTE theme and have had reports from users not being able to use the site navigation.

    I have a drop down menu on my site and user report that it does not open when using it on ipad.

    I have tried it on my ipad and it works, and also on my Android tablet, and it works ok also.

    However, I did notice that neither device was using a mobile version of the website, but using the desktop version.
    When I switched to using m.itf1718.wordpress.com the drop down did not work.

    When I view the site in tablet mode in the Customise Theme screen, this drop menu also does not work.

    However, when I view the website in phone mode in the Customise Theme screen, the drop down works fine.

    Why would this not be working, and how do I get it fixed?

    Many thanks for any help. Really need to get this menu working, as it provides access to key elements of my site.

    The mobile ready theme is a default theme and a completely different theme that you do not need to enable, if your theme is listed as a responsive layout theme here https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/responsive-layout/

    The mobile default theme is provided for those who run older themes that aren’t the gold standard which is responsive layout.

    A responsive layout theme adapts to different screen sizes so that your website will work (and be optimized for) iPhones, iPads, Android and other mobile devices. When responsive width themes are viewed on mobiles sidebars appear below the posts in order to provide as much space as possible for reading.

    When we use a responsive theme we disable the mobile theme. Go to >Dashboard > Appearance > Mobile and disable the mobile theme

    * Replace NAME_OF_BLOG withe the actual name of your blog in that URL.

    If none of that is helpful then I apologize and advise you to seek Staff help. Please post this specific info here:
