Custom Logo
-
Hi, how is you day? ;-) In Settigs/General, on thee right hand side is a Blog Picture / Icon. I have 3 blogs, and have used this feature on all of them. The pictures upload without issue, and I recieve these pictures in all the neccesary locations EXCEPT for on my browser. It Does work fo 2/3 but citystoryline.wordpress.com loads only a blank space instead of loading a small black icon (my custom logo). When I remove the logo – and wait – it eventually clears and is replaced by the wordpress logo, but reuploading reloads the empty space. I have tried with a few different icons., none work. I am using the current stable google chrome .
Thanks

Howdy,
It appears that you’ve uploaded a transparent PNG file.
Could you please try re-saving your image as a JPG or non-transparent PNG file, and then upload it at Settings -> General?
-
Thanks, chris, for your response – but actually the transparency is what gives the logo effect. I’m sure you know that JPGs don’t support transparency, and a non-transparent PNG would defeat that purpose. Both other logos of my other blogs work with transparency.

Can you please try uploading the image via Media -> Add New in your Dashboard? If you have already done so, what is the title of the image?

This appears to be what you have uploaded successfully in the Settings section of your blog’s Dashboard.
It’s working correctly in your admin part and parts of WordPress.com, but it can take up to 30 days for your browser to see it as a new favicon.

I mean the other two favicons for my other two blogs.
But as a matter of fact, i have previously uploaded a different design to citystoryline which worked. (I had to remove the design though) -
Yes, it’s all part of the time it takes your browser to reload the favicon. Maybe the other two came up sooner for it.
