Custom Menu and search field

  We are using the Academica theme. Is it possible to have the header image at the very top and the menu buttons just below? If Academica won’t allow this, can you recommend a theme that will? I think I have seen it before. Also, how do we remove the search field. I don’t seem to be able to find where it is in the widgets?

  The Academica theme doesn’t allow this, but there are other themes that do. You can try out Twenty Eleven: http://themes.wordpress.com/themes/twenty-eleven the themes listed at http://themes.wordpress.com

  Once you’ve found a theme I can help you remove the search field.
