Custom Menu problem!

  I have a book blog (click my name) and I also write about Jane Austen (I have one page for J.A.). A WP member told me to make a custo menu and put the category ‘Jane Austen’ and the page ‘Jane austen’ into it. So I did and I made it my primary menu. When I did however,all the navigation bar showed was that menu, so I got frustrated and reverted back. I looked at the support article for custom menus but found nothing good to help me. What’s the matter?

  You don’t have any POSTS categorized Jane Austen. My adv ice was to make posts, not pages, and then use the custom menu to link to that category.
