Custom Menu with Dropdown feature
-
I have figured out how to create the drop down menu option. When i hover my mouse over the menu the drop down menu appears. However, if I accdentally click on, instead of hovering the mouse over it, it takes me the blank page. Basically I don’t want there to be a “page” for it, ONLY the drop down menu.
It is hard for me to explain. Here is the blog that I’m referring to:

So the problem is… if I click on “categories” or “information” it takes me to a blank page. When I hover my mouse over either of these options the drop down menu appears, which is great!
I want to know if I can set my site up, so that if someone clicks on “categories” or “information” the drop down menu will still appear, and they won’t be taken to a blank page.Thank you!

There are two ways around this:
1. Add the top-level item (Like “Categories”) to the menu as a custom link, and enter just # as the link URL. It will still be an active link, but it will go nowhere.
2. Keep the menus as-is, but fill-in the top-level pages (like “Categories”) with a linked list to the items that are under it in the menu.
Personally, I prefer #2, as not all mobile devices can approximate the hover action, it’s either click or nothing. This way, those viewers still have a way to get around. For example, hit “Gallery” at http://macmanx.com/
