custom menus

    with a theme you are obviously stuck with the template of the menu provided, but is there anyway that within the main theme itself we/i can create & use my own menu?

    & where are the “blocks” for building just a simple menu for the pages themselves not the template?

    really new to wordpress & hope this makes sense & I get a reply….

    havent seen any way to simply import some old flash files aswell???
