Custom menus and submenus

  on custom menus- how many categories in a sub-menu? I want to have all 50 members have a biography page.
  How can I make it easy to find an individual member’s page? Or do you have a better way to do this? I am using 2011.
  Do I need to arrange alphabetically? Will it be necessary to scroll through al pages?

  Thanks. I think a page widget with a side list might work as a directory.
