Custom Navbar help

  Hello everyone,

  I’ve recently been working on my wordpress blog and I cannot figure out how to customize my navigation bar other than size/color/location.

  I would like do something like what I made in photoshop: http://i415.photobucket.com/albums/pp231/Liderc21/navbar1.png?t=1298571299

  Been trying for a week to be able to use something like the above photobucket image, but I just cannot figure out how to do it.

  Would be a huge help if someone could aid me, thank you very much.

  I have the most up to date wordpress.
