custom navigation for only one page
-
Hi,
I am trying to add a custom navigation widget to one specific page. I would like the page “voyages” to navigate through posts by cities and countries above the posts on the page. Through the customization tool, I cant seem to figure out how to do this. I am not very tech-saavy :S
Can someone help me on this?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, my first suggestion would be to create a Custom Menu and then use the Custom Menu Widget at the top of the sidebar and assign that menu to the widget. You can then use the Widget Visibility feature to limit the visibility of that widget to only the Voyages page.
For the menu you would assign to the menu widget, you can put the Countries at top level and then make the cities submenu items off of that by pulling them slightly to the right, so they are indented below the Country menu item, and they will appear indented in the menu widget. See the “submenu” section in the Custom Menu support page I linked to above. Would this work for you?
The top menu typically displays on all pages, and there isn’t really an easy way of having different menus on different pages. We could use CSS to hide certain menu items from all but the Voyages page, but it can get complex.
