Custom Pages Issues

  Greetings all,

  Ive added my own pages outside of the wordpress theme and page creation option and when I try to link these pages to the rest of my wordpress site it displays:

  Not Found

  The requested URL / was not found on this server.

  I can seem to figure out why the pages aren’t recognized by wp or the server and I have tried several work arounds. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I took the site down to continue working on it on…but I know there is nothing wrong with my link setup or page structure but I was told that if a static page exists outside of the WP setup than WP doesn’t recognize it i.e the “not found message”….

  if i insert a <?php include(‘myfile.php’); ?> function, than I am able to grab the contents of the of the page but a direct link from the index page to ‘myfile.php’ keeps producing the ‘Not Found’ message
