Custom sidebar on individual pages

  I want to change the sidebar for each page so they look different. e.g. calendar on one page an image on another, text on another etc. Can this be done?

  Yes. See the Widget Visibility section of the Widgets support page. You may easily set each widget to display only on a specific page.
