custom sidebar problems

    Hi
    I have recently managed to add a custom left sidebar to the Hemingway wordpress theme. I am able to add widgets etc, but the sidebar is appearing below the content. I have tried to alter the width of the sidebars, and the contents, and to move the content to center, but neither has made any difference. I have saved the latest changes to the pages php and therefore the front page has not yet got a left sidebar. Please help as I don’t know how to code, and although I am learning I need it in steps. eg: do I change the code in CSS or in the stylesheet CSS?

    This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM and your cannot get support for it here.

    WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
