custom site not loading correctly on phones/tablets

We had a custom WP site designed years ago. It no longer loads correctly on cell phones or tablets and I cannot figure out why. I am not experienced enough to know and have not had much luck with finding help.
I imagine if I shared the code that maybe someone could help determine why this is happening?

Hey there @michaelrambrosi, your site is not hosted here on our services. It does seem to be an issue with your theme, though.
We’d recommend contacting support for your theme first — or in this case your custom developer. You could probably also ask your host to help you make a backup and switch to a newer theme if you’d like. And for more help with your copy of WordPress, you can try searching and posting in the forums for the free WordPress software: https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
