Custom Template
-
Hello, there is a company that currently uses WordPress for their website, and I am interested in using a similar custom template. The website is here: siggisdairy.com — Can anyone find out how I go about contacting WordPress to set up a similar template when I am not yet a paying customer??
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

We cannot help you with any site styled like that.
We provide support only for wordpress.COM hosted sites. Our support docs do not apply to
(1) local installs of wordpress.ORG software on your own server or
(2) wordpress.ORG software installs on paid hosting, and we do not provide support for them at wordpress.COM.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
As you are referring to a site that is not hosted here, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right-hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

There is no FTP access to any wordpress.com sites.
The only themes we can use on WordPress.com hosted blogs are licensed and adapted to run on our multiuser software the themes are found here http://wordpress.com/themes/ and in your dashboard at > Appearance > Themes
There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.com blogs for security reasons and we cannot:
upload any third party themes,
create child themes,
create our own themes,
edit templates,
create own own layouts,
or use stylesheets from other themes.See:

http://en.support.wordpress.com/themes/adding-new-themes/WordPress.com sites have some built in plugins http://en.support.wordpress.com/plugins/. However, if you are reading anything that makes you think that we bloggers can install plugins, advertising, custom themes or third party themes on sites hosted by wordpress.COM, then you are mistaken/misinformed. We have never had that ability. You are confusing wordpress.COM hosted blogs and wordpress.ORG installs on paid hosting.
Blogger installed plugin capability does not exist on WordPress.COM blogs and there is no upgrade you can purchase here that changes that reality.
For that type of functionality, you’d need a self-hosted WordPress.ORG software install running on a paid web hosting service.

Time Thief,
I wish I could better understand your response but unfortunately I am just not fluent in this language. I gather from what you’re saying that WordPress does not provide the services that would allow me to create a similar website as siggissairy.com, is that correct?
Yes siggisdairy.com, I was told, does use WordPress.

Here are a couple of themes available on WordPress.com that are made up of multiple panels, like the Siggi’s site:
Karuna – https://karunademo.wordpress.com/
Affinity – https://affinitydemo.wordpress.com/
Pique – https://piquedemo.wordpress.com/
Shoreditch – https://shoreditchdemo.wordpress.com/More: https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/one-page
Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks Kathryn, but would these themes allow me to create a situation whereby my photos would able to be flush with an all white background or not? In other words, I can do this on WordPress but would I need someone to help customize in order to fully create that style that siggis has?
Continued Thanks

I’d suggest you set up a test site and experiment with each theme to see which one might work best for your needs. Once you start making adjustments, you’ll probably have a better sense of whether you need assistance or not.
