I want to upload my own theme because I couldn’t find anything extra from the category of newspapers and the like in the list offered by WordPress.com.
I was interested in the Newsup topic.
However, I would not like to get into some kind of dead end, so I need to be clear about at least two things, respectively (miniature applications), which I perceive as a problem.
Widgets in general – they offer a great thing, namely visibility, when you can set where this or that widget will or won’t be displayed. For example, if I create a table, I only want it in one place of the side panel, when I enter the attributes (tags or category and it will be visible there).
The photo gallery widget – the way it currently works, I am absolutely satisfied.
My question is about whether, after activating a template that is not directly from WordPress.com, there will be widgets (not the special ones (or even those) offered by the given theme) or whether these things will be available.
I hope my thought processes make sense and maybe it can help others who are deciding to install their own theme. Because the classic wordpress that you download for testing as a local host does not offer such things in this form.

Some widgets would be there, but some may not – it would depend on the theme and it’s build.
Have you tried uploading your theme onto a local of copy WordPress (which is free to do) to test the theme?

Thank you for the answer – I tried it and basically you have it well thought out because in the section where they are installed there is a Try & Customize menu and you can test it live like this.
Once again, I thank you for the link, because I am concerned that the site exists at all and is more than helpful.
