custom theme changes

  I changed the opening theme picture, but when I uploaded the image from my computer it appeared much larger than the original jpg file image and therefore was cropped too short. Is there a way of reducing the image in the theme section to reflect the original size in the file that I have. I have the file saved in ulead photo explore 8.0.

  when uploading a header image it’s best to match the recommend height and dimension found on the header upload page.

  Please note you will need to use a image editor prior to uploading your header image so the recommend height and dimension is meet prior to uploading.

  Also you will need to change the file name for example if your first attempt was with file name photo.jpg then you would need to slightly change the file name to like photo1.jpg so the WP.com servers don’t reference the old file name which will hinder you from seeing the correct header changes.
