  How to custom the theme for the self hosted site ?

  I am brand new to wordpress. I installed WP through Bluehost, realized it became a self hosted site and can not buy the Custom upgrade.

  Would like to if it is possible to custom the theme for a self hosted site and how to do it.

  Read some articles, created the child theme and installed the plugin of Simple Custom CSS, did some try on the custom CSS but did not work.

  Need know the exact step to do the custom theme. Theme using is 2014 and the web is 1lasercutscreens.com
