Custom Themes, how to change to wordpress.org
-
Hiya, I have my own domain and hosting for http://www.railingmedia.com and wanted to use wordpress. I paid the $12 to have my domain listed under wordpress.com and bought a premium theme that I really liked. Now of course, I can’t use that theme.
Do you have a database article around how to change from .com to .org so I can use my premium theme? And would I have needed to pay that $12 to redirect? Sorry guys, love wordpress and spent a few hours last night reading but just never realised this key difference.
Thanks in advance,
Murray

Hi there,
This guide should come in handy if you’re looking to move to a WordPress.org installation:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/moving-a-blog/#moving-to-wordpress-orgSince your domain isn’t registered here at WordPress.com, you can update your name servers at your registrar’s website. You can get the proper name server values from your new host.
If you decide to move to a self-hosted installation, let us know, and we can refund your mapping upgrade within 30 days of purchase.
