  Hi there,

  Can you expand a bit on what you mean by customize?

  Media file URLs can’t be modified directly, but they do include the file name, so the only way you can have some measure of control over the media file URL is to modify your file’s filename before you upload it to the library.

  I want to change the post id for a PDF ive uploaded in the library. the post id is 04 but i NEED it to be 03. I know this is automatically populated by wordpress but is there a way I can change it OR retrieve a document that was deleted from my media library.

  Hi @vfiorilli,

  Once a file has been deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please keep in mind, files in media library are unique and not replaced. Depending on when you uploaded the PDF, it will be uploaded either by date, or an incremental change in the filename.

  If you have linked to the wrong file from elsewhere and looking to redirect a broken URL to an updated file, a redirection plugin might work for this.
