Custom Url Redirect

I have a new job and am trying to help this organization with their site. They own the url womenlandlegacy.com and when someone types womenlandlegacy.wordpress.com it should redirect to womenlandlegacy.com–but the opposite is happening. Can anyone direct me to a resource that will help?

All the information I have indicates that womenlandlegacy.com has not been registered yet and there is no domain mapping upgrade for it from http://womenlandlegacy.wordpress.com to the domain URL as http://womenlandlegacy.wordpress.com doesn’t exist ie. has not been registered.

I mistyped the url. It’s womenlandandlegacy.wordpress.com and should be appearing as womenlandandlegacy.org. Right now womenlandandlegacy.org redirects to womenlandandlegacy.wordpress.com–I’m trying to figure out how to change that. Is the only way to do it to pay the $13 for updated domain mapping?

Hi @ashbruxvoort, it looks like you’ve got a redirect at GoDaddy. You’ll want to map the domain instead.
First, choose a plan here:
https://wordpress.com/plansThen use the domain credit at https://wordpress.com/domains . If you use email with the domain, get in touch via chat (which you’ll be able to do after you buy a plan) and we’ll help you make sure those settings are properly transferred.
Finally, update the domain settings to point to our servers, and wait a few hours for that to take effect.
