Custom User roles

  Hi there, We are looking to make mulitpal users on our website, But we want to have them seperated so that there is for example: ‘Staff’, ‘Trainees’ and the ‘Public’
  Is it possible to create custom user roles?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there. Not on WordPress.com, I’m afraid. There is no facility here to have any type of members-only areas on a site, and in terms of dashboard access you can only add users in the roles described here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

  You might want to look at the self-hosted WordPress.org software instead. You will need to buy a domain and hosting account, and you’ll be responsible for maintenance issues like updates and backups which you don’t need to worry about here, but you’ll be able to install the plugins needed to create member-only areas on your website.
