Custom website help – personal encyclopedia

I want to make a website that has a left panel that is categorical and a top panel that has links A-Z and a search box at the top right corner.
This website is for personal use to organize blog posts and different topics I research. It’ll serve as a personal encyclopedia.
By tagging each post with a subject I want it to automatically organize both categorically and alphabetically.

Does anyone know how I can do this? I don’t have much webdesign experience.

    Hi,

please note that you are on support forum for WordPress.com, which is a publishing platform for bloggers so you are asking in a totally wrong forum.

Besides, I am in doubt that without relevant knowledge, you are able to accomplish this.

You would need to download the software named mediawiki. For that, you need an Apache server with MySQL support. If you want to use it only locally (intranet instead of internet), you would need a software named XAMPP. Then you need to add a virtual host that allows you to access your wiki from different computers in your home.
