Custom Widgets Within a Parent Page

    I’d like to create a parent page and add custom widgets to the page itself, not the sidebar. When I try to input the code, nothing shows up. I also haven’t been successfull with custom widgets in the ‘plain text or Html’ widget section for my sidebar.
