Custome Plugins
-
I’m trying to install a custom plugin. It seems like I was able to do so previously without having to upgrade to a business plan. Is this not the case any more?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

There is no FTP access to WordPress.COM hosted sites and never has been. You are confusing wordpress.COM hosted sites that do not have that Business upgrade and wordpress.ORG software installs. Read the differences here https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Please read:

Hey Lemster001!
From the Plugins helpfile:
As a business plan user you have immediate access to Advanced SEO and Google Analytics. You can also install other plugins from the official WordPress repository through the plugin tab in your account.
So yes, to install custom plugins you would have to upgrade to the business plan. Fortunately, many popular plugins have been integrated into WordPress.com automatically!

I also notice that https://strategeriam.wordpress.com/ has not been updated since January 28, 2013, so what is the URL of the site you refer to?

FWIW I have been answering question here for over 11 years time now and I predate all support docs and all support staff except one member. -
It’s actually pricematchthis.com. Trying to install a custom plugin to create a store. Thanks! I knew there was some sort of difference between .org and .com, but I could’ve sworn I was able to add a custom theme and plugin without having to pay for business plan. Apparently I am mistaken. I’ll look into it further as you suggest

Yes, it looks like I was confused. I’m glad to have been straightened out! Much appreciated guys. I’m starting the manual move now
