Customer Number

I just purchased my own domain and when I was trying manage my domain so that I can log in. The customer number that they gave me is 0 and when I enter the it, I get “Invalid Customer” message. What is going on? How can I request a new customer number from wordpress? I need your help. Thanks

I don’t think you need to be talking to wordpress. I think you need to be talking to the people hosting your webspace. Is your blog hosted here at WordPress.com? Then you use your username and password to get in, not a customer number.

Thank you raincoaster for the quick reply. I purchased the domain name from wordpress since I want my blog to be “migrated” from the ordinary wordpress site. This is the instruction I got after signing up:
The following link will take you to an external site where you already have an account. Before you can log in you must reset the password. Copy the number and follow the link below.
To reset your password, click “Retrieve my password” then “Reset Password” and enter your customer number. Then check your email.
Customer Number: 0
The link then redirects me to Automattic site.

tracypamela – I know what you’re trying to do and you should have a number other than zero. You said you “just” purchased the domain; it’s possible not everything has gone through yet. Give it at least a few hours and try again, okay?

You’re welcome. If it’s still not happening tomorrow, you might want to contact support. It’s probably just a glitch.
