Who can I contact about troubleshooting my blog. I haven’t worked on it for about 2 years and want to get back into it. It is not listed in my account but when I go to setup a new blog, it says that the domain name is already in use. How can I solve this problem?

    @hstetina
    Hi there,
Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones: https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs&show=hidden
If you do not see the blog here http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/ then
    follow this guide > http://en.support.wordpress.com/my-blogs/#my-blogs-dashboard-visibility

If you aren’t successful use the account recovery form:
    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

There is no phone support here. This is a peer support forum where Volunteers and Staff work cooperatively to deliver WordPress.com support. Volunteers answer most questions and Staff monitor. When Volunteers cannot provide the required support we flag threads for Staff attention.

If you have purchased an upgrade then you can contact Staff directly using this link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ If you have not purchased an upgrade then simply post what you need help with into this thread.

Thank you for your help. I still cannot find how to access my old blog. What would it take for me to create a new blog and use the same domain? Essentially, that is all I want to do. Every time I create a new blog, it won’t allow me to use my old domain name. My domain name is purchased through godaddy. Any tips on how to use my old domain??

That’s not possible. Have you tried what I posted above so you can recover the blog?

Hi there, the best way for us to help you is to fill out the account-recovery form that timethief linked to above:

    https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery

Once we have the information we can try to help you recover the account privately. Thanks.

I have tried the account-recovery and I get this message:

Your contact email is the same as your account – if you can receive emails you should try the password reset form instead.

Visit https://en.wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword and if required click “Need More Help?”

I can access my account. That is not the problem. I have a username and password that work perfectly fine.

The problem is that I am trying to use a URL name of henrystetina.com and it tells me that the domain name is already in use (from my previous blog that I used 2 years ago). This blog does not appear under in my account as one of my currents blogs or URLs. I want to use the same url for a blog as I did 2 years ago.

    Does this clarify my problem?

http://henrystetina.wordpress.com/ has been removed by ‘hstetina’ about 20 hours ago. Is this what you wanted?

    Looking forward to your reply.

If it were removed, it would have been done so about 2 years ago. Not exactly sure on what date

The domain henrystetina.com has been registered at a different hosting provider (GoDaddy) since 2009. If the domain is still yours, please contact GoDaddy support so they can help you further.

Since you can access one of my other blogs that I tried to create, why can’t you access henrystetina.com?

If anything I would like to remove/cancel henrystetina.com all together. That way I can just start over using the same domain name/url.

This seems to be much more difficult than it should be. I own the domain, why is it so hard to begin a wordpress blog using my domain name?

What will I need to contact them for? It is completely active and in working order through godaddy. What will I need to do with godaddy to allow wordpress to authorize that domain?

Is it mandatory that I host my domain with wordpress to create a blog. I don’t remember this being true in 2009. I don’t believe that I am trying to do anything different this time around.

You will need to have a blog here to which to attach that URL. Then you will need to purchase the domain mapping upgrade to attach that URL to it.

If, however, you have a working blog at Godaddy, you may not need to move at all.
