I need some help with formating. I cannot fix the front page layout, despite the helpful article.

If you are asking about the two “About” pages – you actually have one About Post and one About Page – Delete (or set back to Draft then it goes away off the blog but is still in the Posts section –
if you go to this link: http://kinderfirsts.wordpress.com/2013/07/26/about/
You will see a small “Edit” somewhere while you are logged in. Click on the Edit then in the upper right corner of the Edit page just change the status to Draft.

Thanks for the replies. I have a couple of issues. I tried fixing my sidebar issue, but couldn’t find <dav> imbedded in the three posts. Also, I am only posting under the “About” page. I assume the about page should have a short post, with other posts falling under the home page? As you can tell I’m very new to the world of blogging and would appreciate any help.

they are not the same – delete the one that is a Post to clean up your blog – you only have one dynamic page that is the Home page for you – all your POSTS go there
