-
Hi, I have been trying to fix an issue for a while, but am having trouble getting ahold of a customer service phone number for the site. Could you please let me know who I can contact about my domain name? Thank you.

There is no phone support.
All support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/
See: Getting WordPress.com Support https://en.support.wordpress.com/help-support-options/
Those who have a paid upgrade for a wordpress.COM site can use the “Contact Support” form, http://support.wordpress.com/contact/
The best WordPress.COM contact form to use now for Staff assistance is:
http://wordpress.com/help/contactLive chat will be available there only if we have Happiness Engineers available to chat. When they are not available using that link results in posting to this peer support forum. https://en.support.wordpress.com/live-chat/

Also note, that you can email WordPress.COM Staff at: -
Mapping an existing domain that you already own and purchased elsewhere is not done free of charge. WordPress.COM does not accept domain transfers by mapping to an existing domain is possible. Domain mapping replaces the .wordpress.com URL with the domain URL. You must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered the .wordpress.com site to upgrade.
If you are not logged in under the correct username account then clear your browser cache https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache and cookies https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-wordpress-com-cookies prior to logging into another account

WordPress.com does not provide an email service for blogs on their sub domains or on custom domains. Please see these support docs

https://en.support.wordpress.com/email-forwarding/What domain mapping does is providing a seamless redirect to the very same content under the new domain URL when a person clicks the old URL .wordpress.com to the original content. It can take up to 72 hours for domain propagation to take place throughout the internet but it doesn’t usually take that long. https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/

I know the staff has provided an answer to my question last month, but I am still really confused and would like a more personalized customer service experience. I purchased a wordpress 3-year deluxe package. Does this give me access to live chat? I was unable to access it when I clicked on the links you provided.

Live chat will be available there only if we have Happiness Engineers available to chat and it is a weekend. When they are not available using that link results in posting to this peer support forum. https://en.support.wordpress.com/live-chat/

Hi Devin –
I purchased a wordpress 3-year deluxe package
This upgrade is not something that was purchased through WordPress.com.
Perhaps you bought a hosting plan for WordPress?
There are 2 versions of WordPress. What we do here at WordPress.com is different from the installation of WordPress software that you use with a hosting company.
This guide explains those differences: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
For help with a self hosted wordPress site you will need to post at wordpress.org/support/
There have not been any charges or upgrades billed to this WordPress.com user account that you are using here in the forums.
